HART HAUS welcomes a visiting gallery to host a 3-day pop up at G/F HART HAUS that blends nostalgia, culture, and art. A coherent exhibition traveling from Tokyo and titled “Pizza & Champagne,” this is a debut solo exhibition of Nicolás Romero Escalada (b.1985, Argentina) in Hong Kong presented by MORFO Galería,Spain. MORFO Galería is an ultra contemporary art gallery with a base in Madrid, Spain, dedicated to explore the intersection between visual and culinary arts. Founded by Lisandro Illa & Asesina Suárez, gallery owners came from culinary and textile art disciplines, at the same time they are the masterminds behind the plant-based menu at the hottest bar in town, Peridot at The Henderson.

We are delighted to announce that Lam Lap See will be joining us for an artist residency at HART HAUS in December 2025.

During her residency, she will host an event to reimagine “Bamboo Palace” on December 16, 2025, 20:00–21:00 at Bad Coffee & Liquor Club, Yau Ma Tei, guests are invited to join her live scanning and conversation process with Martin Christensen, a Swedish artist and lecturer specializing in digital 3D techniques at the Royal Institute of Art (KKH), as well as taking part in an open exchange with Lam’s relatives.

This residency is realised with the support of Blindspot Gallery.

“Time in Perspective” presents a Duo exhibition of two contemporary artists, Boon Lee and Wenda Yiu, who delve into these vanishing narratives, transforming the textures of time into art.  As In Western District of Hong Kong Island, where the rhythms of old and new Hong Kong intersect, traditional shops endure as quiet acts of resistance—guardians of memory, labor, and community. Through the engagements with local shopkeepers, the exhibition becomes a conversation between preservation and impermanence, where fleeting moments are given lasting form.

PODIUM, HART Haus, and Eaton HK are proud to announce a strategic partnership that bridges the gallery, not-for-profit, and hospitality sectors. Launching alongside the coming solo exhibition ‘World of Interiors’ of Berlin-based, Ürümqi-born artist Min-Jia that opens on 20 September, this collaboration aims to spark fresh dialogues through contemporary art, pioneering new collaborative models in Hong Kong’s vibrant art ecosystem.

As part of the residency collaboration, Min-Jia will host a Puppet-Making Workshop, where participants will explore the rich tradition of Chinese shadow puppetry. Over two engaging sessions, attendees will learn about traditional materials and techniques while creating their own hybrid snake puppets. The workshop will focus on the theme of transformation, inviting participants to connect with the artistry of shadow play through hands-on experience using vellum, the material central to Min-Jia’s practice.

HART Haus is pleased to present “Möbius Loop”, Yvonne Feng’s debut solo exhibition in Hong Kong, following the Guangdong‑born, UK‑raised visual artist’s relocation to the city last year. The exhibition features works from Feng’s ongoing painting series Docile Bodies, a trilogy of exhibitions exploring the theme through barrier, gesture, and sight. This presentation focuses on gesture, examining the intricate entanglement between the body and the spaces it inhabits. The works are exhibited in the ground‑floor gallery, where the interplay of interior space and street‑facing windows blurs the boundaries between strangers and intimacy, between watching and being watched, echoing the staged realities in Feng’s paintings.

HART Haus 高興呈獻馮伊雯於香港的首次個展「莫比烏斯環」，這位出生於廣東、在英國成長的視覺藝術家去年搬到了香港。是次展覽展出馮伊雯的最新及進行中的繪畫系列《馴服的身體》，是她創作中探討障礙、手勢和視覺主題的三部曲的第二部分。作品中重視手勢，以檢視身體與其所處空間之間錯綜複雜的糾纏。展覽設於地鋪畫廊，室內空間與面向街道的窗戶之間的互動模糊了陌生人與親密，觀察與被觀察之間的界限，呼應了藝術家在作品中所建構的現實。

r é n x HART Haus: Linking Our Youth with Art and Design Through Humanity initiative connects our youth with art and design, enhancing access for current and future community members. We empower under-resourced youths to explore career opportunities in the arts through internships, part-time roles, and collaborative events like exhibitions and workshops at partnering creative institutes and schools.

To launch this campaign, we present the exhibition “Art Actions | Our Youth Our Future” on June 26, 2025, at HART Haus in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong. This showcase features works by international artists Daniel Roibal, Keisuke Azuma, Sin U Lam, and the 2024 HART Awardees Kelly Kwok, Kwok Wah San, and Elsa Ngai.

The “HART to Heart” campaign, a collaboration with Art in Place, brings together four interdisciplinary and emerging groups of artists to celebrate Kennedy Town’s unique character – DD Yung + Yasmina Viale-Fraine, Doris Ng + Sharu B. Sikdar, Elsa Ngai + Estelle Chan, and Zaat Hap Laa (Mimmy Tjia, Jeffrey Hung, Oscar Lau, and Emily Chan). Through a series of interactive public programmes including performances, walking tours, and workshops curated by the artists throughout April till late May, the community from the neighborhood or other kinds of cross-platforms audiences will have the opportunity to actively participate in the creative process, forging connections with neighbours they might not otherwise meet. From concept to completion, this initiative promises to weave craftsmanship, recyclable resources, painting with contemporary art-making approaches into the fabric of the neighbourhood, sparking dialogue and strengthening community bonds.

「心藝系與堅尼地城」 活動匯集四組跨媒介的新晉藝術家，共同頌揚堅尼地城的獨特面貌，組合包括 翁DD 與 梣茉莉、吳玳誼 與 Sharu B. Sikdar、 魏舍椏 與 陳郁子以及 藝術團體紮合啦（成員：謝旻蒑、洪梓維、劉浩然、陳瑋瑤)。一系列藝術家策劃公眾互動藝術工作坊，將於四月至五月下旬發生，當中包括表演、徒步導覽和工作坊。來自社區或其他跨平台的觀眾將會參與創作過程，與他們原本或不會相遇的鄰居建立聯繫。從概念直至完成，計劃貫徹採用當代藝術創作方法將手工藝及可回收資源融入社區，激發對話並加強社區聯繫。

Partnering with HART as Lead Event and Programme Partner, Supper Club (9/F and 11/F at H Queen's) will bring an alternative art event showcasing a curated selection of artworks and experimental performances from galleries across the globe, including PALAS (Sydney), BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY (Bangkok), Sultana (Paris), BROWNIE Project (Shanghai), The Drawing Room (Manila), CYLINDER (Seoul), and more. Co-founded by three Hong Kong gallerists, the second edition of Supper Club will take place across two floors in H Queens, with the aim to disrupt the conventional art fair paradigm through an open-plan exhibition format, providing an intimate social space for gathering and discovering emerging artists.

Aimed to raise fund for the ‘This is proper panda' performance in the coming Art Basel, this workshop will give tutorial to fresh artists, fresh graduated artists, or graduated year art students, to develop their art project. This workshop will discuss possible art practice which can fulfil the ‘money-come-first, art-come-second' contemporary art scene. Based on the discussion, participants would make slogans and street bills which going to display in the coming Art Basel Hong Kong.

Tse Chun Sing's solo exhibition ‘Foolproof planting’ will be held from 15 February to 9 March 2025 at HART Haus G/F, Kennedy Town Art Space. The exhibition consists of a series of kinetic works and video installations, in which virtual images and imaginary plants are assembled to form a completely artificial garden. The artist observes the relationship between himself and the plants with his creations, and uses the electronic plants to look back on his own state of being, thus unpacking the tension and disparity between his desire for control, his sense of security, and his sense of powerlessness.

謝俊昇個人展覽《種花得花》將於2025年2月15日至3月10日，在堅尼地城藝術空間 HART Haus 地下舉行，展覽由一系列機動作品及影像裝置組成，透過虛擬影像及假想植物堆砌成一個完全人工的花園，藝術家以創作觀照自己與植物之間的關係，借電子植物回顧自己的個人狀態，從中拆解他對控制慾、安全感及無力感之間的拉扯和落差。

We are delighted to share that Bunny Cadag, the final artist presenting live work for the exhibition ‘The Embrace and the Passage’, is hosted by HART for an artist residency in collaboration with Para Site.

During her residency, Cadag will conduct field research, including community engagement and workshops, to enrich her practice in pre- and postcolonial gender plurality, singing rituals, and healing. Often participatory and community-based, her work amplifies marginalised voices while navigating forms and spaces with empathy and generosity.

In contemporary art, texts are often reduced to a state of transition or bardo, hidden behind the artwork. Writing as a Method originated from confusion about this current situation. Ten artists from the region across various creative disciplines came together to form an artist collective, hoping to open up the realm of writing in artistic creation. Members regularly hold writing-based creative activities, following Oulipo's experimental tradition to develop their own Response Game: members exchange private notes, sketches, and thoughts reflecting on individual practices and works-in-progress. After drawing lots, they respond to each with diverse mediums including doodles, sounds, moving images, actions, and more. Artworks diverge from the original concept and grow into something new.

當代藝術中，文字時常被簡化為一種中轉或中陰狀態出現，隱匿於作品背後。「書寫作為方法」始於對此現狀的困惑，聚集十位來自兩岸三地、橫跨不同創作領域的藝術家，組成藝術小組，期望開拓書寫在藝術創作中的界域。成員們定期舉行以書寫為基礎的創作活動，並沿著Oulipo的實驗傳統，發展出屬於自身的回應遊戲（Responsive Game）：成員們交換私密的筆記、草圖和想法，抽籤後，以不同的創作回應彼此。作品於是從原有想法中歧出，長成新的模樣。

Lesley-Anne Cao (b.1992, Philippines) explores materiality, languages, and transformative processes through installation, sculpture, video, and text. Using intuitive methods and process-driven approaches, she prompts reflection on everyday life to uncover hidden social structures that shape our behaviors and the environment. She had her first solo exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2018, and it was shortlisted for the Fernando Zóbel Prize for Visual Art in 2019.

Upon Lesley’s previous international artist residences at Gasworks (2023) in London; Finland, and Taipei, we are delighted to welcome her to Hong Kong! On 1 December 2024, we will hear from the artist after her 3 weeks of stay, comprising exhibition-making at @blindspotgallery, conversations with curator(s), art practitioners, and HART artists, as well as various material studies across neighbourhoods of Hong Kong.

Wilsonkaki proudly presents Collection 006 "Teeth of The Sea", a captivating exploration of coastal life through fashion. This collection delves into the complex relationship between humanity and the vast oceans, offering a unique interpretation of an alternative utopia tinged with mystery and suspense. "Teeth of The Sea" artfully captures the ocean's multifaceted character - a source of both joy and danger, beauty and isolation. Fragments of Curiosities, on view from September 29 to November 2, 2024 at HART Haus 3/F, is a group exhibition featuring works by Louisze Chan Pui Sze, S. Yi Yao Chao + Koel Chu, Colbie Fung Ho Pui, Sharon Lee, Natasza Minasiewicz, and Daniel Stempfer, curated by Helena Halim. The exhibition explores how objects are vessels for our memories, a material vestige of our past. The artists in the exhibition draw upon the objects they collect and salvage, to examine how they speak to personal and collective stories, unveiling pieces of our shared experiences.

This event is a part of the final project presentation of Curatorship Incubation Programme organized by HART.

群展「碎片拾憶」將於 2024 年 9 月 29 日至 11 月 2 日在 HART Haus 三樓呈現，展出藝術家陳佩詩、周亦瑤+朱嘉喬、馮可貝、李卓媛、Natasza Minasiewicz 及 Daniel Stempfer 的作品，由林心儀策展。展覽探討物件如何成為滿載回憶的容器，又如何保存歷史的痕跡。六組參展藝術家透過他們收集和改造的物件，訴說物件背後的個體或集體故事，揭開我們共同經歷的過往。

Gaylord Chan and his fellow students founded the Artmatch Group in 1995 which offers a platform for members' creative energy to thrive and excel. The group has 21 members, comprising local and overseas artists from diverse backgrounds. The group has been organizing exhibitions almost every year since its establishment. HART Haus is excited to announce our collaboration with the Art Future Awards to welcome Erina Yoshimura from Kyoto City University of Arts as our artist in residence from August 28 to September 27, 2024!

As the winner of the inaugural Art Future Awards in Hong Kong, Yoshimura approaches her work by exploring the connections between her body, her surroundings, and the people and objects around her. Through these personal interactions, she seeks to discover new artistic expressions.

During her time at HART Haus, Yoshimura will further explore her practice and conclude with a performance and artist talk. It is a great chance to connect with fellow art lovers and dive into her creative world!

Following the Czech artist’s residency at HART Haus this March, Melody Qingmei Li will be participating in the artist residency at Gabriel Loci studio and presenting her solo exhibition “Rivers of remembering, to the forgotten land” in the Czech Republic.

Wu Jiaru’'s latest project “A Brief Digression" is exhibited in an industrial space, exploring the encounters of objects in movement through a series of installations. It reconsiders the potential social significance of the act of "mobility" itself. Beyond the value of a carefully wrapped object as a commodity, can its journey create new social value? "Package" often encapsulates intimate stories that drift from one end of the ocean to an unknown destination, with no promise of arrival. These objects act as primal carriers of information and hope, reaching unattainable places and intertwining political and personal narratives. Through a series of improvisational approaches, the artist creates site-specific works about the mobility and protection of social objects. The audience, viewing from the god's perspective, can engage with the object's narrative and create new stories for it.
