Nicholas Wong 黃裕邦 (HK)
/Nicholas Wong has an extensive experience and qualification in English poetry writing, while his artistic practice allows him to explore ways to creatively “translate” them into visual mediums. His works may be text-based, text-integrated, or text-induced, with an emphasis on the dynamics between imagery and texture, tonality and medium.
Wong’s recent contributed writing was commissioned by “Masquerade” (2025) at M+, Hong Kong, an exhibition highlighting photography works by Cindy Sherman and Yasumasa Morimura. In Fall 2024, he was a resident under International Writing Program (IWP) at the University of Iowa, where he received the title Honorary Fellow in Writing. His has contributed writings to projects by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Manchester International Festival.
Wong is also the author of _Crevasse_ (Kaya Press, 2015), the winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Poetry, and _Besiege Me_ (Noemi Press, 2021). He is the recipient of the _Australian Book Review_’s Peter Porter Poetry Prize. Wong currently teaches at the Education University of Hong Kong.
黃裕邦擁有豐富的英語詩歌創作經驗與專業資格,他的藝術實踐更進一步探索如何將詩作創意地「轉譯」為視覺媒介。他的作品或以文字為基礎,或與與文字交織,或由文字衍生,特別注重意象與質感、色調與媒介之間的張力。
黃氏近期應香港M+博物館委約,為2025年專題展覽《變裝化身》撰寫評論文獻,該展覽聚焦辛蒂 · 雪曼與森村泰昌的攝影創作。2024年秋季,他參與愛荷華大學國際寫作計劃(IWP)並獲授榮譽寫作院士銜。他曾為紐約所羅門·古根漢美術館及曼徹斯特國際藝術節的項目撰寫。
黃裕邦著有詩集《天裂》(Kaya Press, 2015年)與《Besiege Me》(Noemi Press, 2021年),其中《天裂》榮獲美國Lambda Literary Awards 男同志詩歌組別首獎。他亦曾獲澳大利亞書評協會彼得·波特詩歌獎。現任教於香港教育大學。
