Ink is a unique artistic medium. Works by ink artist(s) and practitioners have always become the ways to explore the relationships between traditional and contemporary practices, and to study the complexity of the multifaceted contemporary cultural contexts. HART artists-in-residence Chui Pui Chee and Natalie Chu are graduates from The Chinese University of Hong Kong yet growing up from different environments. How have they learnt about Chinese art? How do they transform these concepts and expressions with a long history in their creative approaches and languages?
