In 2008, the founding executive editor of Wired magazine Kevin Kelly wrote an article titled “1,000 True Fans” It spelled out how the internet would enable creators to make a living off their creation with the support of their fans. There are more tools than ever for creators to build a community of fans who can directly support the creation (or even “invest” in the creative projects). This talk brings together speakers to discuss how, in their own way, builds their community of fans to support the creation of art.
